The term aerosol comes from the fact that the material "float" in air is a suspension (a mixture in which particles of solid, liquid, or a combination of both suspended in liquid). To distinguish the suspension of the real solution, a term which was originally developed sol dispersion particles means includes a thin (sub-mikroscopik) in a liquid. With the study of dispersion in the air, the term aerosol evolved and now includes solid droplets, solid particles, and a combination of both.
